Hi! I wanted to know is Crafter supported for new key coding!?
It is 2008 Crafter where only key is lost, we got new key from dealer.
Van is parked in place that can't be accesed with recovery truck to get it to dealers.
I tryed to contact support regarding this case but did not get clear answer :(
I have available correct SKC.

Regards

"Supported"? No, sorry. That doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done, but we certainly don't have a documented procedure for it.

VCDS doesn't have a "Function" called "Match Keys" for any car. We have documented procedures for how to do it (assuming you have the requisite security code) cars up through Immo 3/4A. Most VW/Audi products were using Immo 4C by 2007, so I don't have very high hopes for this.

What do you have in Adaptation channel 001?

Also, what do you see in MVB 002 and 003?

On adaptation channel 001 before inputing SKC i have something like acces required, after inputing SKC it is error not available and it is sort of blinking on all channels!
I don't remember about MVB 002, 003.

Could it be the reasone that ignition is not on, and it is only possible code key if one working key is avalable?

I'm not sure. As I said above, we don't have any procedures documented. It looks like it should be doable in Adaptation channel 001 with the correct security code, but what other conditions are necessary, I do not know.

Crafter ESCL matching is nearly identical to the 3C Passat, when you tweak our procedure from conventional Address 25 to the Crafter Address 93, so I suspect the key matching would be as well... providing you have the PIN extracted.

If this vehicle doesn't start I don't think you have anything to lose and I'd try the VW Passat (3C) Immobilizer Key Matching procedure on this page.

Hi! Thank you for replay!
Yes procedure is the same, but adaptation channel even after login with SKC is not available!
BTW is it possible to move this thread to more appropriate forum section?
Maybe other users have some experience with Crafter.

I agree however it doesn't look like you are registered for tech support. Did you purchase that VCDS interface brand new from one of our distributors ... or second hand/used from a private party?

Yes i have readed that unfortionatly after purchase. In this way you are sort of killing second hand market. In my case it would cost allmost more then to bay new direct from reseller!
Ok what is advantage if it will be registred in my name, or what i lose if i don't?

It effectively means that you won't get any official support from Ross-Tech either by email or on the forums if you have problems or want help doing something. Other users may be able to help you either on here in the non-restricted areas of the forum or on other car forums, but you will be unable to post or participate in the main forum areas on here until you're a registered user.

You are still eligible for any software updates, so actually using a genuine VCDS cable as an unregistered user won't affect you from that point of view.

Thank You for replay! I have regrets that i got second hand. Now it will cost me all together as much as new one! You should realy rethink this policy! Maybe some day i will register!

Now back to topic, i have complited the car, by reading EZS eeprom and prgramming key transponder from ezs memory!!!
After one working key is available to switch ignition on i whas able to add second key to immo and code remote functions with VCDS !!!

So conclusion is that it is not possible to code new key if ther is not available working key!!!

Thank you for the feeback.

Keep it up and maybe I'll give you access to the other parts of the forum without you having to register that system.

I think it can be done with all key lost. It is very different procedure to do it with all key lost and one key working.
Since Dana mention that this is kind of same as Passat 3C , I was able to adopt key on Passat 3C with all key lost. I can not tell 100% for sure since we do not have Crafter here.
Also when you login with SKC , you have to wait some amount of the time for Ch 01 become available.

By meaning some amount of time, how long more than a minute?

If the delay time "politic" is the same as it was in some cars from the mid 2000's era, it's probably 5 minutes.
