2012 push start Jetta GLI I could not get needle sweep to work

Curios as to why I could not get the needle sweep to work on a friends 2012 GLI Jetta with push start. Every other mk6 with a turn key ignition I enabled this on has worked just fine. Any ideas to why?
This is one of the features he wanted and I would like to make it happen for him. Here is the auto scan....

Hm, this is a 5C6 instrument cluster (from Beetle PQ25), so I guess you could try 17 instruments -> adaptations -> look for "indicator_celebration" or "staging" and set to active.

I attempted "indicator_celebration" which came up as not available and "staging" allowed me to activate but nothing happened after the change.

Ah okay, in that case I'm afraid you'll need to adapt your EEPROM from the cluster. How depends on the type of EEPROM (i.e. 24C64 in a VDO cluster). These EEPROM adjustments are not something VCDS can do for you, for any cluster.

I've seen people say that only mk6 clusters with the part number ending in H can have this feature activated and other say the mk6 clusters with the part number G are the only ones that can not do the needle sweep so I'm guessing the one like this cluster ending in B fall under the same category as the G. If the node isn't capable you cant really do much I get that. I figured if it wasn't capable then the adaptation channel would come up as not available.

So I got the needle sweep working on a friends 2012 GTI with no issues. This was a gauge cluster with a part number of 5K6 920 972 C so people saying only the H clusters of the MK6s can do this are wrong. Seems the C cluster will work as well.

From my experiance if the coding gets accepted it should work. Remember to open and close the driver door and then test.

We did that and cycled the ignition after that while locking and unlocking the car to see. I asked him if it has worked since then (weeks later) and he said it hasn't. I'm gonna say iichel is right and the eeprom in the cluster is not configured for it. Oh well you win and loose some. He isn't that upset about something that simple anyways and I got a bunch of features he wanted working besides that so he is happy.

It is not about part number , it is about Software level in cluster.
Some cluster has this enable with VCDS , some do not.
If VCDS can not do this , then it needs to be done direct at eeprom of the cluster , which was mention in post #4.

I take it that eprom chip is not removable like the older mk3 ecus.
