My wife drives a 2008 Q7, on Saturday when we got in to go somewhere the screen did not come on, nor did the buttons on the cd changer or the main mmi console light up and the part in between the gauges shows temperature/mileage/etc. but not anything to do with the stereo. There have been no previous mmi problems, it has never been intermittent. When I pushed the "On" button the MMI spash screen would come on for a couple seconds then go dark again. My first thought was water ingress and fried components. When we got home I looked in the back and everything was bone dry, no moisture and no signs of water that I could see. So I did a scan:
Since everything is ok electrically can I assume it is not a water problem? Is the 47-Sound System controller a single part (like the CD Changer or the Amp) or is it multiple parts? Any suggestions on where I should start?
