VW MK5 Golf - TPMS Disable for Winter Tires

For several years I've been disabling the TPMS via the 19-CAN Gateway module when I put on my winter rims/tires because they don't have air pressure sensors on the valve stems. Just unchecking the Bit 0 [65] Tire Pressure Monitoring on the Long Coder has always done the trick, but I have it unchecked and am still getting the orange tire symbol in my instrument cluster, as well as the really irritating ding every time I start up the car. Anyone have an idea why this might not be working any longer? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Full autoscan please so we can see what is installed on the car.

But as a quick note. Mk5 and mk6 generally use passive TPMS system based on ABS wheel sensors. Some reason your gateway has active TPMS module checked in the installation list. Remove that.

Then, where do you have the TPMS reset button? Is it in the glove box or front of gear stick where ESP off etc. buttons are? Start the car and long press that button, it resets the TPMS for the current tyres and light goes off.

Previous is mainly correct for EU, but US requires heavy TPMS paramters to be fullfilled so at some point they only accepted direct TPMS which is coded/hardwired in CCM.

And you probably have to flip a bit in the instrument cluster to have it stop warning you about anything wrong with the TPMS system

I might have inadvertently enabled it when fishing around in other modules. Not sure how I enabled it or how I can disable it, since it tells me it cannot be reached when trying to enter it. Any ideas? I could've sworn that unchecking the Bit 0 [65] Tire Pressure Monitoring on the Long Coder was getting rid of it even before I enabled 4C. Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I also enabled 65, which is now on the list at the head of the scan saying there is a malfunction, but for reason the fault code info is not included further down in the scan, not sure why.

RESOLVED

I finally figured it out, folks. Even though I had the direct TPMS disabled, for some reason I must have checked the indirect method in the ABS module. These are the steps i took:

1: Make sure TPMS is unchecked in 19: CAN Gateway module
2: Make sure TPMS is unchecked in 46: Central Convenience
3: Make sure TPMS is unchecked in 03: ABS Brakes module
