2007 Audi A3 2.0 fsi not revving pass 3000rpm

Hi everyone. I really need help with a problem that is driving me crazy. Ive got a 2007 audi a3 2.0 fsi that does not rev past 3000rpm but will if rev it slowly it will rev pass 3000 rpm. I did a scan with vcds and fault code " Fuel pressure sensor fault". Both was changed low and high pressure sensor no change. Checked the cam follower and replaced due to sight wear no change.

Ive noticed in MVB when flooring the pedal (from idle) the actual high fuel pressure fall to 5 bar but the specified value raises to 80-90 bar but if i slowly rev up (from idle) the specified value and actual value rises with a 3-5 bar difference. At this moment im stumped :banghead: Please help

Thanks Jack .i have opened the ecu and checked for water damage but nothing. The ecu was at shop already because it has anti tamper stickies on. I will send to to have the ecu tested next week. I will also become verified also

Each time i floor the pedal the high fuel pressure drops to 5 bar but if i accelerate slowly it builds pressure.
On the low pressure side whether i floor it or accelerate slowly the value are the same. It never exceeds 4.5-5 bar and the max high pressure i measured is 110 bar.

I have checked with a multimeter the value at the high pressure sensor, the voltage drops to 0,6v if i floor it but if i rev it very slowly it rises and the car revs.

I have changed -both fuel pressure sensors
- cam follower ( had slight wear)
- fixed all air leaks
Could it be the fuel pressure regulator valve that is fault?

Remember........ just because you have PSI, this isn't proportional to volume............

Unit is in error anyway.......

Pressure isn't volume and can be to a degree compressed air if the filter is damaged/restricted or regulator and same goes for the HPP.

Change the warn lifter and measure the lobe of cam for full run out.

Your symptom could also be a plugged restricted exhaust which can do the same thing such as a plugged CAT.

I have changed the lifter already same problem. What is the measurement for the run out for the cam lobe?

Anyway to test for a blocked cat?

If it is the cat how come i get a pressure drop when i floor the pedal

Stuff like this error for the OXS heater can cause things to happen to controller and drivers for the TV.
In addition firmware and math for x-sum is out!

PSI maybe being lost for a number of reasons, why not fix the obvious ones first?

Ramp dial indicator and micrometer is used to measure the cam lobe + bearing journal.

If the lifter is warn, usually the cam lobe is also damaged to a degree.........

Aaaalright im back. The ecu was repaired and o2 sensor replaced. Vehicle still the same. but i did notice if i disconnect the N276 the car still idles and it revs clean past 3000 rpm. is it possible that the n276 is maybe faulty ??
