2013 VW CC, 09 BCM Byte 18 Coding, changed it, stupid me, need to fix it now.

So the vehicle is 2013 VW CC, with OEM rear LED Tail Lights, the coding for the lights is set on byte 18, by default it will show 00, but the coding should actually be something, so far coding it to 0F or 0B is the closest I have gotten it to working like normal, but those coding I believe are for EURO Setup, hoping some one can help with the correct coding or know of what it should be to resolve this.

Closest anyone has come is to use 0B, but still not fully correct, user on other forum mentioned he had to tap his front turn signals, has to be a easier way to correct this coding, if anyone out there knows.

If your car has 00 as factory coding for byte 18, then there is a reason why it is nothing else than 00, because likely there does not exist any preset that does fullfil your cars needs.

Put on the stone of shame, walk with it to your dealer, and get a factory reset.

I have tried to help several car owners who bought fake VCDS clones and did some "happy coding" in byte 18 in combination with retroftting FL tail lights. It´s an impossible mission.

ah.... I mean I own a HEXNET so no fake VCDS here...

HADEZ16 pretty much every vehicle apparantly shows 00 for byte 18 but its actual coding is something else just not apparant, if you read the link to other CC owners which had similar issue,

I would of never even touched byte 18, but this vehicle was having tons of issues, all related to ignition switch harness problems, I made new harness from scratch resolved all issues, except for original byte 18 coding, I saved all old logs from vehicle, and pulling logs from other CC it seems to be always 00,

Obvisouly this is not information that VW shares with anyone, I guess if I figure this out, will post what fixed it, hopefully helps another user with issues like this.

You must realise the byte18 is just collection of profiles. If a car has a setup outside the profile preset it will revert to 00.

Awesome, I run the skoda pilot stuff from them, its awesome....VCP I bought Clone just to see if tool was any good, but will buy original if it is really worth it, if it can fix this issue,. I might spend the money and OEM VCP, if you have more info please share, always nice when we help each other out on the forums.

Think I found my own way which someone suggested, Coded 0B or 0F not sure which one, then I just reversed the pins the 1st two from each tail light and its identical to OEM again I believe.

Once I have the car again will document exactly changes I made and left it with.
