Hello I have a 2007 Passat wagon with a used replacement EPB module, lost all coding when doing the replacement and now the dash is lit up like a christmas tree (abs, airbag,ses, etc). This is my first time using VCDS. It is my understanding that I need to code the ABS module first, and then code the EPB module, and also calibrate other sensors that lost their calibration. I have tried the "coding helper" in abs section but every time it says "coding accepted" but then when I read fault codes it shows up as not coded correctly.
I have read many threads on here where people have posted the Auto scan and you provided the coding they needed. I would like to understand what I am doing wrong and how to find the coding on my own in the future (I have another 2006 Passat with the same issue because I thought swapping from one vehicle to the other was a good way to diagnose if the part had failed, and it did help me to diagnose the failure but now I have two vehicles with lost coding hence the purchase of the VCDS software!)
