Or does it support an extended can?

Reason for asking is i would like to add High TPMS to the car and think this would be needed for it to work!!!

Thanks

Fair assumption is that it does support it, yeah. More interesting is if there are any other control units currently installed that also use the extended CAN. If there aren’t any it could be that the gateway needs a little more than coding or maybe a different gateway. I’d pull the wiring diagram and the vehicle configuration list from elsa and see whats installed and where.

Extended can is grey/orange(can-high) and brown/orange(can-low). Can low wires are always the same color, can high is unique. So you could take a look at the wiring near the gateway to see if you can spot a grey/orange wire. Other than that, my tiguan has the radar sensor and front camera on the extended can, amongst others. But that doesnt really say anything.

scott: Found this in my database of stuff (I stored the picture of the CAN Network in "miscellaneous" -which is a very dangerous folder to have)!

Alas it's in French, but Mr Google says that Bus de données CAN Extended is Extended CAN data bus, so MasterTommy's assumption looks to be correct!!

you'll also need to check if cluster supports high tpms, as it regulates which tires and pressures are to be stored/used

I believe i will have to check if my BCM has the pins for the wiring to go in too!!!!

Does anyone have any info on how to code the TPMS in i.e. BCM/Adaptions/Long Coding or Gateway/Cluster/ABS?

It would help big time.

Thank you

scott

BCM? Unless a polo is substantially different the extended can goes to the gateway, not the BCM.
