general coil pack questions

I was reading some of Jack's coil packs posts, and was wondering how cross compatible coil packs are across vw engines.

I have 2003 1.8t jetta, and 2007 2.5 (non-turbo, 5 cyl) jetta.

the connectors looks similar but slightly different.

Is it possible to put the same set of coil packs in either engine?

specifically:

Use coil 06B-905-115E Hitachi
( This part number was never superseded, because it doesn't have a problem as the other design types )

It is far superior over part # 06A-905-115D etc. or later.

Also, I've seen the videos about putting R8 coil packs in 2.0t;

- are the R8 coil packs electrically different than the normal coil packs, or is just because they are RED that means they go faster and/or are more reliable?
