Transporter T5 GP & BCM, problems with long code helper

I have an interesting case where it really looks like long code helper does show wrong contents !
I did swapping of BCM to a newer one to allow CCS to be activated.
I noticed already with original box ...86D that there was some bits on eventhough they are nto shown on the screen (upper bits of few bytes)
Also some extra equipments not existing in my car where activated.

However after swapped to newer ...89D interior lights and rear lid lock stopped to work.


...and status of rear lid lock...(sorry not pasted here)

I went thru several times all bits making sense but no help. Then I copy pasted original long code and then rear lid started to work but still interior lights were not working.

After swapping back original BCM both are fine.



From my point of view it looks we are missing now some important bits for actual door combination and behave of interior lights.
The label file is the same though box swapped => Labels:. 7H0-937-08x-09.clb

Some of the bits not explained and/or bits with other meaning were affecting to rear lid.

Safelock feature were also activated during swap eventhough nothing controlling it according bits.

I even got 2 other BCM with same results.

My car is 2011 (VIN) and very basic with right slide door (manual), rear lid and basic halogen lights w/o fogs ie. coming /l eaving home is not available neither cornering lights.

VCDS is updated within couple of days to latest 17.8.

Problem "solved"

Here I found updated description for BCM bits. I certainly hope these would be added to the label file of T5.

Sadly adding comfortline/highline BCM, requires changes to interior light voltage supply hence requiring new wires from fuse box to BCM.
On the other words, if there is original BCM with part number 86x or below you can only swap to 87x. Any higher BCM will not work as it is.

Some of the functions of the BCM are unique for a BCM type (i.e. 089/090). But most of them I agree with.

Indeed, all of them are found only with highest model but when recoding such a BCM for to be used in basic car you need to take those into account too.
With label file in latest release you were not able to interpret central locking so in addition to new bits some regular old bits were missing.

usually i recode my BCM with my own excel sheet and copy/past long code into the coding box of vcds :-)

Just got yet another BCM with ...87 code on it.
Interior lights fine BUT rear lid not working. Unbelievable.

This BCM for this byte won´t accept the hex 39 as it used to be with original 86D BCM
010 0000 = 20 accepted, not working
010 0001 = 21 accepted, not working
010 1001 = 29 accepted, not working
011 0001 = 31=REJECTED
011 1001 = 39=REJECTED

byte 1 bit 6: i don't know
byte 2 bit 2: remote active with ignition on

Now I got it to work finally, I need to tweak also byte 7. Do you happen to know anything about that bytes missing bits too ?
Lock versions seems to vary, in this case it has to be set to one motor, spring loaded

Do you iichel or anyone happen to have got info for aux heater testing on a T5.1 ? Went to look in Basic setting and couldn´t find any place.
Testing functions works and no fault codes found. It is still so warm out that it doesn´t come on itself.
