Bought this car about a month ago 2012 Golf TDI, and I know it’s tuned, just can’t figure out who’s time and which mood were applied. I’d there a way to do that with vcds? I’m assuming this means the EGR has been deleted with the time as it is still physically on the car?
“Exhaust Gas Recirculation” Box on VCDS says “Not Installed”
Sorry I tried searching and didn’t see anything about trying to determine who the tune provider is.

Unless the tuner leaves obvious tracks in the ECU's ID data, which I don't see here (and which I think is a really dumb thing to do), I don't know of any way to determine that.

OK cool thanks for the reply! Am I correct in assuming the EGR system is no longer functioning at all? I’d like to remove the coolant lines and both the high and low pressure systems and add block plates just to keep the intake clean but in afraid to have it freak out if something is still present.
Appreciate any help!

I don't think we can confirm that remotely. You'll have to do so empirically, but because it's illegal to intentionally disable a factory emissions system, I'm not going to offer advice on how you should do that.

You could check for EGR operation with live data? I'm sure someone will advise how to
