Hi, I bought this car last month. It was originally in Japan and I am the 3rd owner in the UK. One morning the car wouldn't start so I bought a new battery (Bosch, 74Ah, 680cca) thinking that would solve the problem. I fitted the new, fully charged battery, and the car failed to start the next day. The starter wouldn't turn and no lights appeared on the cluster. I have a CTEK charger which I used to fully charge the battery only to find the car failing to start the next day.
In an attempt to find what could be draining the battery overnight I have removed lots of redundant wiring that ran from the instrument panel fuse box to a no longer in use reversing camera, previous stereo and Japanese traffic alerting system. I have left three of those wires in place. One that is starts at the ISO connector that the cluster connects to and two that run to the relays under the dashboard behind the cubby drawer.
