Here in the USA, I think because of legal liability we have warning screens on certain features and locks on certain changes when in motion. Often times, when driving I want to change certain features but they are locked out while driving. I must emphasize that we are trying to do this with a passenger. So while my wife is driving I try to figure out features of the car rather than sitting with the vehicle on and the engine running to do this. However, because of those safety locks I can't. I would think the car is smart enough to figure out that there is a passenger and permit these changes but it won't.

Do you know how I can remove these locks to permit these changes with the MMI? Thank you all in advance.

I don't have high hopes that this can be done, but nobody is in a position to give you any advice without knowing exactly what car you're trying to do this in. Ideally, you would Post an Auto-Scan for context, so people can see exactly how the car is equipped and configured. ;)

On MIB2 you can disable all "BLOCKED" adaption channels.
However Uwe is right, we require an Auto-Scan to be sure...
