I don't see the harm in zeroing that to see what happens. If it doesn't reset the warning you can have him change it back to 372.

I'm skeptical. Traditionally, channel 49 has been a minimum time to service.

Me to, all adp maps I have, have the value 372, if days since service, they should not all be 372 days.

Hi Dana,

Please find below an AutoScan from the Crafter.

We are still unable to clear the Inspection warning. It now says 'Inspection in -40 days'.

In addition, we cannot access the Engine. We have tried Engine (Common), Engine (LT3), Engine II, Engine III and Engine Other.

That has me confused too. The Engine shows up in an AutoScan but we cannot get into it under 'Select'. Whichever option we pick gives a 'No response from Controller' error message. Other modules work fine, e.g. Instruments. We have tried cycling the ignition, disconnecting and reconnecting the interface but no joy.

Any suggestions on what would cause this?

I am still using VCDS Release 17.8.0 and initially found a major issue with Windows 10 Pro wiping out my drivers (fixed now)

I won't post my Map as it is identical to the previous Map posted.

Here is how it has worked for me;

1) Clear any DTC's
2) Click on LR135057-WIV Reset (VW) Write (This is your SERVICE RESET)
3) Enter "0" as "new value" (stored value is also "0")
4) Workshop code entered in this screen only is 12345 / 123 / 12345
5) Hit "Do It!"
6) Without leaving the previous screen, switch IGNITION to off then back to on position. (At this stage the service reminder is gone!)
7) Close down and exit VCDS
8) Pull up a chair with a cold drink in hand and celebrate!

It is now 4 days since I have completed the reset procedure, some people have reported a return of the service reminder after resetting but I have had no problem with this.

Good luck, I hope this works for everyone else with this problem.

Thanks! That sounds a lot like the Lambo models where you have to turn it ON (even though it was active) via ADP, key cycle, turn it OFF via ADP, add another key cycle before it will reset.

Hi,

i tried to reset the "inspection in xxx km or 14 days" message, but did not succeed by writing the adaptation channels. I only managed to reset the "oil in ..." message, which now shows "---" for km and days. Attached you'll find the auto-scan and the channel scan of "96". I also tried all those manual reset variants with the "0" key - none of them was successful. (Highline instrument and buttons in the wheel)

Could it be that the "inspection in ..." values are stored in another channel (not visible in VCDS)? Is there any possibility to find out, if there are more channels? In the engine i didn't find anything related.
