I want to do a throttle body alignment on my car, but I'm having difficulties trying to figure out how. I have an 2000 Audi TT 1.8t 5 speed.. Previously owner did a Wideband conversion originally a 1.8t ATC. Now the computer says it's a AWP. Originally I thought it might have been a UDC ECU, but it say KWP2000 at the top of VCDS. I’m using vcds version 19.6. Adaptions, basic settings, and measuring blocks are all greyed out.

That ECU is supposed to be using KW1281 for diagnostics. It does have a KWP2000 mode for flashing. For some strange reason, it seems to be stuck in flashing mode, where it doesn't support many of the normal diagnostic functions.

The first thing I'd try is to disconnect the battery (or pull the ECU out of the car) for a while. I don't have high hopes for this, but it's the path of least cost/effort. If that doesn't work, I'd try to find out who played with the software in that ECU.

Ahh... Do you think its possible for a tuner to disable these blocks?

It is totally normal for the ECU not to support those functions when it talking via KWP2000 in flash mode.

For normal diagnostics, this ECU is supposed to be using the KW1281 protocol.

It is indeed possible that the tuner did something that keeps the ECU stuck in flash mode.
