A little confused now, thank you for all the support you folks have given so far
Yes, you need to enable it in unit 5F to get access to the Green Menu (Hidden Menu) - but VCDS is no help here.

    Hi Dan,

We tested some stuff and I made a lbl file for your 4M1 Q7 part number in addition to Shaun's 8W0 flavor. It certainly isn't complete (no coding at all) but I can e-mail it to you for testing. I take it this is your personal car right?

    Best,
    Dana

Edit, I sent the tester file to the admin@...... e-mail account with the subject 2017 Audi Q7 Developer Mode.

    No not tired yet

Then why has no one then been able to use the VCDS cable for this - until your screen shot today ??

What is your models installed option data for the shown apparently successful activation??

You just need a label with some macro instructions inside, which Dana just wrote for those two part numbers. If you post a scan showing the need maybe we can make you one too
But it's definitely not a matter of writing directly to the EEPROM, just getting the adaptation to be accepted.

I didn't even look at the 4G/4H part number modules earlier so satpat2 feel free to bump this back up and we can look into that. Hopefully we have Q7 feedback at that time.

That's what I meant at the beginning of this thread. Thanks for shedding some light there, Eric.

    Hi Dana,

I tested it this morning and it worked! The developer mode adaptation can now be set to activated after entering S12345 security code. Consequently, the green menu can be activated by holding NAV/RADIO simultaneously. Thanks a lot for your assistance with this.

    Best,

    Daniil

P.S. Yes, this is for my personal car.
