Need help to reset the "Service Due" on my Audi. I have done the service reset thru Cloud by putting "0" to new value and saving it but the "Service Due" hasn't gone away. Below are the other values under each module/functions;

50 oil -160
51 oil -365
52 insp -160
53 insp -182
54 insp -365

Since 53 exceeds 52, your car is due for a mileage based inspection. Assuming all items in the mileage based inspection checklist have been performed, you can put a 0 in 53.

Check 55 as well. If 55 exceeds 54, then the car is due for a time-based inspection. Assuming all items in the time-based inspection checklist have been performed, you can put a 0 in 55.

Checked 55 also and it exceeds 54. I set both 53 and 55 to "0" and the "service due" reminder went away. Thank you.

One thing I do not understand though. Those numbers seems to represent days in a year and if my service due is based on mileage ( every 10K miles) how does functions 53 & 55 works?

There are three different "counters". One is for your oil-change service. That one is the most complicated. In some markets (typically not NAR) oil change intervals are "flexible" based on the thermal loading (gasoline engines) or soot loading (diesel engines) that calculated bu the cluster using various inputs. The second is for a mileage-based inspection. The third is for a time-based inspection. Any of these counters can trigger the "Service Now!" message. The trick is figuring out which of these need to be reset, and of course referring to the maintenance procedures and actually performing the required work.

This used to work before I did the software update two days ago. Was there a change to the new software? Also I noticed the service update reminder pop-up again in less than 10,000 miles.

Cross-posting the same stuff in two different threads is discouraged. Let's keep your SRI stuff here.

What I just said in the other thread:

You should still be able to do that if you want.
If you're having difficulties, please explain in detail.

Again, the service reminder can pop up when your car thinks it needs an oil change, or when it thinks it needs a mileage-based inspection, or when it thinks it needs a time-based inspection. If these get out of synch, or if one year passes without having driven 10,000 miles, it will come on.

After i had my oil changed, i tried to reset the "service due" reminder on my dash board by doing the same steps i have been doing before. So i plugged in my HexNet and wen to cloud-intrumentation-adaptation..and put "0" for the value for channel 53 and 55. Saved it and closed my hexnet and re-start my car engine but the "service due" was still there.

Have you verified that those channels now have a stored value of 0?

Please post up the stored vales from all the SRI-related channels, 02, and 40 though 56.

I thought when we set the new value to "0" for channels 53 and 55, it will reset the service due reminder to another 10,000miles. Do I need to change the new value to "0" for other channels too?

You need to show us the contents (current stored values) from ALL the SRI-related channels in order for us to make an assessment of what's happening here.

Sorry for the delayed response. Here are the current stored values under instrumentation/cloud/adaptations;
ch 2 - service reminder = 1
40 - mleage since service = 4
41 - time since service = 6
42 - min mileage to service = 150
43 - max value to service = 150
44 - max time to service = 365
45 - oil quality = 1
49 - min time to service = 365
50 - basic distance value for oil change with fixed service interval = 160
51 - basic time value for oil change with fixed service interval = 365
52 - basic distance value for inspection = 160
53 - distance since inspection = 4
54 - basic time value for inspection = 365
55 - time since inspection = 55
56 - basic day counter = 1640

Working backwards here:

"Time since inspection" is less than "basic time value for inspection" so that's not why your Service light is on. An inspection will be due in 310 days.

"Distance since inspection" is less than "basic distance value for inspection" so that's not why your service light is on. An inspection will be due on 15,600 km.

Your oil service values look OK too, the only thing that's out of kilter is Channel 02. Please try saving a New Value of 0 in Channel 02.

I already changed the new value to "0" last week when I tried to reset the service reminder last week.

Hi. It’s been a while since I posted anything for assistance. I recently changed my engine oil and tried to reset the “service due” message on my dash board but to no avail. I reviewed previous threads and check if I have missed a step.

I also have update the software on my VCDS-MOBILE.

I tried several times but the “service due” reminder is still on. Need help.

I set Channels 2, 40-45 and 49-56 to "0". After initially setting channels 1, 53 and 55 to "0".

If you set channels like these to 0, you're gonna have a bad time. ;)

42 - min mileage to service
43 - max value to service
44 - max time to service
