    G450 Adaptation

    Hello,

    I replaced the G450 sensor today and attempted to adapt it using the Ross Wiki instructions

    UDS Protocol (G450) procedure
    Key ON, Engine OFF
    [Basic Settings]
    Select Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter
    [Go!] to activate the Basic Setting.
    After the result of Finished Correctly appears click [Stop]
    Select Resetting of learned values of difference pressure sensor
    [Go!] to activate the Basic Setting.
    After the result of Finished Correctly appears click [Stop]
    [Done, Go Back]

    I was able to do the first bit no problem but when I went to do the second part, the "Resetting of learned values of difference pressure sensor" option was not available.



    I'm using version 17.1.3

    Just wondering if the second part is essential to allow me to drive the car safely.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hmm, not sure why your ECU doesn't seem to have the second one.

    I might have a look at what currently shows in the following measuring values, both with the engine off, and with it idling.
    IDE00427-ENG101722 - Particle filter; difference pressure
    IDE00428-ENG100917 - Particle filter; offset for differential press.

    After G450 adaptation you have to leave car with ignition off for at least 1min.
    Some ECU's do not require any additional basic settings as only that one "Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter"
    Check measured values as Uwe suggested

    Uwe/paradise city, I have a 2010 golf 1.6 tdi, it uses the uds system, I have fitted a new g 450 sensor too mine a while ago , it follows the same pattern as you have taken with resetting of learned values ,this was not available too me either. so I left it at that and a drove it. as Uwe suggests to you I have checked the difference pressure and offset difference figures since fitting the unit, mine engine off ,shows 4.6 mbs in both sections,, should be zero. when running at idle still shows the same but with higher revs shows increasing mb pressure in the difference pressure readings and 4.6 mb in the offset difference figures. everything functions as normal and regens continue as normal with ash and soot figures as should be.     I'm not sure it should. I suspect that if the offset shows what the sensor does with the engine off, and both values are within reason, i.e. no more than single-digit milibars, then it's good to go.

    I'm a bit surprised there's no difference pressure at idle...
