Offboard Diagnostic Information System Device (ODIS Service) Application 4.0.0 - Manual Installation

Colleagues,
IMPORTANT! ODIS Service application version 4.0.0 and VW diagnostic content version 2.33.1 are available for update download from our servers today. However, the update download for the application files must be initially done manually. Review the scenarios below to determine which course of action applies in your case.

Scenario 1 - An automatic update download and installation was NOT already initiated today as per your normal routine. Perform a complete update (that includes the diagnostic content files) as follows:

  1. From the Windows desktop, right click the ODIS Service icon and select Run as administrator.

  2. When the automatic update routine is accepted and initiated, manually select main feature 30.0.10 from the dropdown in the update prompt as illustrated, and then click the forward arrow:

Scenario 2: An automatic update download and installation was already initiated today per your normal routine: As only the diagnostic content has been installed, e rrors in certain GFF procedures may result. In this case, initiate a manual update to install the updated application files as follows:


  1. From the Windows desktop, right click on the ODIS Service icon and select Run as administrator.
  2. From the ODIS Service Operating Modes menu, expand the Extras category and click Update.
  3. After the update routine is accepted and initiated, main feature 30.0.10 will appear as the only update available.
  4. Click the forward arrow button:
