    You could try it!

It's not something I would expect, there still has to be a wide open leak path somewhere, assuming the oil pump is capable of creating real pressure.

These things are very hard to diagnose remotely - there may be some subtle thing you don't see right now, or there could be a major internal fault, or mis-assembly.

The ONLY time I've seen 0 oil pressure on a properly running/assembled engine, is on a gravity feed system, like our '29 Ford Model A - it has a pump that pumps oil from the sump, up to a trough that feeds the bearings by gravity. With 15W-40, you can have 0 oil pressure when warm, because there is NO restriction, really. Simply adding the restriction of an oil filter gives it a very low pressure reading (2 to 5 PSI) - Your Golf would need no restriction to flow, to get a ZERO reading, or the pump has to stop pumping (mechanically stopped, or sucking air from a damaged pickup etc).

We're really going to struggle with helping remotely

    Hi,
Within a month, the engine has been running a 1.4 TSi 90kw CAXA engine.
Cold oil pressure 1bar at idle, 2-3 bar at 2000 / rev.
After 20-30min, idle 0.2-0.4 bar, at 2000 rpm 1.5 bar.
Cams with head cover checked, second oil pump, intake manifold replaced,
Ol.filter exchanged - origo according to VIN, turbo mesh, wiring including adjusters also second.
Both engines are all checked equally and the result is the same.

Any idea where to look? Has anyone met anything like this?

    Thanks for the advice
