So yesterday I found two O2 sensors and a fuel pressure regulator I bought long ago and had failed to label or save the packing slip for some stupid reason. I knew the FPR was for the A8 but doubted its authenticity due to Chinese writing all over the package and lack of a hologram or QR code, but they said it sounds OK. Anyway I googled the numbers on the O2 sensors 0 258 007 351 -311261 and -208232 and tried Ellis' website to no avail. (FYI both are 5-wire with the correct black plug attached)). So I called Bosch's Customer Service Line. Wow. Got a real live human quickly and she actually seemed to care, was American, and after taking all my info down the first rep said a "specialist" would research the three parts and call me back that day. This was around four CST, and they close at five. Fifteen minutes later a very knowledgeable and friendly guy called me and confirmed that of the numbers I had, one was a heated upstream sensor but the other did not match up to the either sensor on any of my cars ('98 Passat 1.8T 5-speed AEB, neither of my two 2004 A8L 4.2s, not even the E320 I used to have). After the call, I decided he must be mistaken - the darn things are identical and the only number he seemed to care about was "7351", which is on both...
We talked for a long time and I lamented the fact there is no fuel pressure sensor among the 1500 sensors on the BFM engined car. He said he had a Jetta 2.0 which he selected for its simplicity. I bragged that my cars have never been to the dealer or a shop for repairs (except once when I ended up finding the problem when my VWAG expert mechanic could not) and he said "oh, you Really need a Ross-Tech!" I said I had bought one and the Bentley manual the first week I had the car. He wasn't familiar with Bentley but boy does he love his VCDS (even though he calls it a "Ross-Tech")!
To have a Bosch employee speak so favorably about VCDS is a real "feather in the hat", I'd say. Sorry I didn't catch his name, but you guys have a friend (fan, even) at Bosch USA!

Still wondering if BFMs have all 4 O2 sensors heated - Bosch says no, seems I recall VCDS says yes.
