Yes jack the car tries to fire with starting fluid. When I posted the first auto scan i had the p2015 and p2016 codes and could not get the flap to operate in basic settings. This is now solved with a repair bracket and is now working via basic settings. I will try it again and have a go at logging the data. Thanks again
One thing I forgot to mention is when I unplugged the sensor on the timing belt side of the fuel rail, the actual pressure reading shot up from 8bar to 350psi and stayed there.
