sorry i can´t keep up.
Depending on how you use the product, keeping up with every minor new version may not be necessary. We generally don't pick on people who we know are legitimate users if they're a bit behind unless we believe that updating might solve some problem they're having.

Hello Ross Tech,

After updating from 15.7.4 to the latest version with frimware upgrade 16. 17. i cannot find this rule anymore on the instrument cluster.

(1)-Illumination_algorithm-Scale_switching_algorithm,parking_light

Please see the video I have made this morning.

https://youtu.be/2E70v9zmI-I

I want to change this valeus to not present, but with vcds latest version its not working maybe the newer version will come with this option??

(1)-Illumination_algorithm-Scale_switching_algorithm,parking_light
(2)-Illumination_algorithm-Pointer_illumination_algorithim,terminal_58xd_log_bus_parkinglight

Please post scan data from your instrument cluster. The data from the Advanced ID function should suffice.

OK, that's going to take more digging that I expected. Unfortunately, I have other commitments for my time today. Please bump this in about 36 hours if I don't get back to you.

Interesting.
"ENG125906-Illumination_algorithm" in your video shows the options that the data I have should be for "ENG125906-ENG125912 Illumination_algorithm - Pointer_illumination_algorithim".

"Illumination_algorithm - Scale_switching_algorithm" does seem to have existed in some older data versions, specifically the ones that did not take the ASAM Dataset Revision into account, but I can't find it in the current one that does. The implication is that it is not defined in the factory data for your revision.

Hello Uwe,
Thats strange.
http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthr...nstrument-cluster-retrofit-to-Premium-1-fault
On post 8 I post an admap with version 15.7.4 on this version you see that it was there.
So on the newer version gone.
Yes, the manner in which we select what data to use for a particular ASAM ID changed substantially at 16.8.1.

What would be interesting here is to connect it to ODIS and see if it admits to the existence of this channel in your cluster. In principle, I believe it should not.
