Hi,
I'm repairing a 2013 S4 that had undercarriage damage and I've replaced the power steering rack that was damaged. I didn't own VCDS before replacing the rack so I don't have a before scan, but when I do a scan now I get a "01309 - Power Steering Control Module (J500) 004 - No Signal/Communication" and a "15428 - No Communications with Power Steering Control Module". (I do still have the old rack if that helps.)
Is this what "component protection" looks like in a scan? I've rechecked all electrical connections to the rack several times and they all seem secure with no obvious physical damage.
I'm also concerned about the alternator because of "02252 - Generator 004 - No Signal/Communication" but not sure what order I should tackle all of these codes. I'm assuming some will go away when I correct the more important problems. Any advice on which ones to look into first would be greatly appreciated.
