No cats, it was easier than coding it out.

    Very legible there.

But without knowing exactly what's been done in the ECU in terms of tuning, it's hard to say anything meaningful.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    Indeed.........

How do you expect data to be valid in logs, if playing in this sandbox of FOD?

    The rules matter......

Are the rear O2 sensors used for any of this? Aren't the front sensors the only ones involved is fuel trim?

Might I suggest the repair manual at https://erwin.audiusa.com/ or maybe the Bosch book for ME 7.1.1 at RB or directly.

    http://servicefunctions.bosch.com

Etas might also be a good start for a guy like you.

    http://www.etas.com/en/downloadcenter/5483.php

I go here but you have to purchase a product and have permission from a vendor such as Audi like I do.

You know what nobody has asked?

Is there any problem with the way this car runs?

We know it's fairly heavily modified. Manual transmission and who knows what else.

But given that it's a 2003, it's presumably been like that for a while. So unless there's some problem with how it runs, why sweat the 0 reading in specified lambdas? My guess is whomever tuned it intended it to be that way.

Agreed Uwe but he didn't ask for help outside knowing what OXS was doing or how trim was done.

OP : Maybe post an auto-scan..........?

At the very least you can post the observation of the tests I aforementioned, further state what tuner did this & so others can benefit from the knowledge.

I'd personally like to know why you installed extensions in the rear OXS sensors and why you believe or have been led to believe there is a benefit outside what you think is acceptable for cat removal?

Did you do this OXS extension mod blind, after a cat removal thinking it needed to be done and if not did you get codes?

The JPPSG might help you with some guidance as being new to this stuff.

The car often feels down on power. Not always. Sometimes it absolutely rips, other times it just feels sluggish. I noticed recently that one MAF reading was about 1/2 of the other in g/s. Switching MAFs did not switch the low reading to the other side. So I think I have false air coming in somewhere. That I will track down with a smoke test. But I was asking about the O2 reading because it seems strange. I did not write the SW obviously but it was done by (FWIW) someone with a great reputation in the Audi community who has done the SW for AMD. I know that doesn't mean much.

The spacers I was told should be used to prevent a code/MIL. I have not tried without. AFAIK it is a common solution to the problem. I can also have them coded out but i'm not sure if that is necessarily any better of a solution.

Change back to stock ecu and trace with valid diagnostic stack..........& using VCDS!

    Keys to the Kingdom............

    OP

You might also find that the MS4 Sport is what you really want........for the race track of course!

With the help of INCA from Bosch ETAS....aforementioned.

The RS6 controller can be converted into this exact hardware abstract layer and function with full A2L support.........
FYI your VCDS cable can also be supported with dumb mode to use the public SDK key driver to operate the software........

    RTFB!
