I have a problem amarok at my workshop that has been everywhere to be fixed and still has problems.
It is low on power, low on bottom end toque hard to start in the morning and has a very deep loud induction noise at idle.

4794 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70)
P0101 00 [101] - Implausible Signal
When I put an oscilloscope on the air mass meter and compare it to another amarok the frequency is fluctuating a lot more than the test car.
When I have a look at the EGR position it says it is open 50% and compared to the test amarok it is only at 30% at the same running time, coolant temp and same RPM.
When I do a EGR adaption I can hear the valve open and close and it make the induction noise stop, but when it is finished it its loud again.
its like the exhaust is coming back through the intake and I can see it on oscilloscope through air mass meter.
if I do the EGR adaption on the test amarok it makes the same induction noise as the problem car until it is finished.
what I want to know is why the ECU is turning on the EGR so much at idle.
Things that have been done to this vehicle before it has come to my workshop.
2 New Sets of turbos fitted by VW Dealer- Yes 4 turbos.
2 New Airflow air mass meters - Fitted by 2 different mechanics
New set of injectors
New EGR motor and pipes.
Air filter
Full service
EGR blank of plate just for testing- made car drive better until engine light came on. Then plate was removed.
DPF was removed to check for soot accumulation it was fine.
All sensors and solenoids removed from test amarok and put in this vehicle.
When I do a basic setting air mass plausibility calculated test its stops at the end and says test aborted safety REASONS
when I do basic setting oxygen sensor test it is aborts - timeout
all other basic settings and adaptions pass.
if I do the tests on the test amarok it passes all the tests.
I don't what to just throw an ECU at it as every sensor and actuator is working just not the way they are meant to.
This car has already had $20000 AUD spent on it.
Any help would be very appreciated
