2013 Passat NMS - Euro Alarm Siren not activated

I am trying to install and activate the euro alarm siren (1K0 951 605 C) on my 2013 Passat TDI SE with Sunroof and Nav. I did follow the instruction as posted bu one of the user in another thread -

http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthr...uro-Siren-working-in-2013-GLI&p=5474#post5474. But nothing seems to be activating the alarm chirp, no matter what setting, only the Factory Horn is responding to the Key Locks/Unlocking.

The Autoscan on Address - 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) do show up the installed Alarm part number as one of the sub-system on the LIN BUS., but it doesnt seem to be activated. One interesting observation however is when I do a Advance measuring value on 09 Cent Elect (J519) ., on values - Alarm Siren and Alarm Horn (regular horn) the Alarm Siren status is displayed as Inactive where as the Alarm Horn is displayed as Active and OFF. This makes me believe that the Alarm Siren eventhough physically connected., needs to be activated in some other place ? May be somewhere in long coding or through some undocumented adaptation channels for this CECM module ?

I appreciate any help on this.

The siren is a 3pin config with positive and ground constant. And the 3rd pin to the LIN BUS which is t36 on the central electric controller.

You need to add a repair wire part number (000979243E) from the red/white wire that goes to the fuse box (F22) to pin1 in the BCM module (to power the alarm component within the BCM) for it to work

Thanks for pointing out that B., I dont think I did the connections for PIN1 and the fuse box. Let me try this and see if that fixes the issue.

Reading your DIY thread, I understand you are feeding the pin 1 with +12v, however I wanted to confirm the following -

1. Can you confirm which outer T52 plug you are refering to, since yours is a RHDvehicle and mine is a LHD here in US., wanted to make sure I work on the correct plug. I think they call it with A, B C or the plug itself is color coded as white black and brown. Also is this pin 1 unpopulated originally ?

2. Any specific reason for using fuse 22 and the Red/white wire ? Not sure if this slot 22 is again unused and we are repurposing for the siren. Of it was just a contstant/not switched then I can tap this from the constant +12v wire for the RVC camera which is already fused.

Sorry for asking the clarifications, just wanted to be sure, I am working on the right connections. And again thanks for your support on this.

Ravi I have a copy of WinElsa that has all the circuit diagrams for VW's and F22 is the allocated fuse slot on the RHD 2011+ Tiguans for the Alarm Siren and internal monitor Yes you are correct the 3 plugs are colour coded and I THINK the outer one is brown and PIN 1 was vacant. It is a larger pin than the others hence the reason I gave out the part number for the repair wire as it was quite an effort to get it and required ine very switched on lady (VW parts manager at my local dealership) to track it down for me

Thanks for the reply Bambazonke., I think its a bummer for me again., as you mentioned I checked the Plug C (Brown) and see that Pin 1 (big pin) is already connected with a red-green wire with constant +12 supply. Initially thought it could be connecting to some horn relay., but was connected to Fuse #12. Removed this fuse (to disconnect and test). Turns out this PIN is controlling other functions including the transmission shift lock.

The P symbol on the MFA display starts to flash and couldnt even move the gear shifter. Looks like the Siren controller pin, we were looking for is different. Would there be a Pin out map or wiring diagram available in WinElsa specific to this controller ? (Part No SW: 5K0 937 087 AA HW: 5K0 937 087 AA

It looks like the issue is still not resolved, as advised by another user Bambazonke., verified the following -

1. Siren connections - Siren's +ve and -ve is connected okay, LIN Connection is connected to T52/B36 on the LIN Bus
- T52/C1 has +ve from the Fused terminal 12., this is already connected.

2. Siren itself is not appearing to be faulty, since 2 previously known working Sirens (1K0 951 605 C) were tried.

But nothing seems to be activating the Sirens as mentioned before, the VCDS Log and the 09-Cent_Controller screen lists the Siren as one of the sub-component., but not responding to Locks/Unlocks.

Can someone please help on this issue ? May be Dana or someone ?
