Howdy y'all. I'm new to Volkswagen and VCDS, not new to fixing cars so I'm hoping to get some advice. So, I'm working on my 2001 1.9l TDI Jetta. When I bought the car it had a check engine light on and I felt compelled to purchase VCDS for troubleshooting.
Here is the auto-scan from when I ran vcds the first time.
Okay so the car wouldn't start with the regular key but ran just fine with the valet key until now. I went to drive the car the other day and it started and died just like when the immobilizer was activated, however there was no key shaped light this time. The problem occurs with both keys now. So i tried to run the auto-scan and this time my results were a lot different.
Also, a window popped up and said "no response from controller"
So where do I need to start troubleshooting? Not sure if its immobilizer related or maybe a ground issue somewhere? It seems like my laptop isn't connecting to those controllers anymore no matter what I try. What would cause that? Any help would be appreciated an thank you for your time.
