We have lots of people here with cool cars. What do you drive?

I currently drive a MKV GTI (My cool car was totaled a year ago, 4motion b5.5 Passat wagon 1.8t, 5 speed.).

Golf MY2007 2.0TDI 4motion.

I only bought this car cause i wanted xenon headlights. It is 4wd, but there was no winter this year, so i couldn't test it out properly. Now I'm thinking of Passat CC, because on Passat the tweaking is almost endless. And CC, because in Estonia Passat is like curse-word because of the people who used to go to Russia and buy cheaper fuel and resell it for profit. And they mainly used b3 and b4-s with their 120L tanks. :) CC seems to be a better option.

On Golf unfortunately, the tweaks aren't cool enough to match passat (in my opinion).

Other than security camera photos, this is the only one I ever took.
Note this is day of delivery, before tinting was done.

Great combo, very rare. Those were only available in '04 and '05, right? I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't have any photos handy of my '04 B5.5 Passat GLX V6/4Motion. I do have a few of The Machine...

Where do you get those things here? I see them around occasionally, and they seem relatively new, but I've never seen one for sale at a VW dealer.

They stopped importing them to the US in 2003. Winnebago purchased them from VW, partially finished and with extra length, to fit out as "full" campers. I found this one near Detroit on The Samba forum back in November.

I'll start with a VW to keep me from being banished on my second post ever:

I think you'll be alright. You started out well with the first picture, and the bikes will probably endear you to Uwe. And that one in the middle is still German.

Also, at one point there was talk of a BIM-COM companion to VAG-COM... whatever happened to that?

This was several years ago. I think it never made it to the shipping-product stage. However, I don't remember exactly why. It may just have been way too much work once they dug into it.

That "BIM-COM" talk was more than "several" years ago; more like a decade ago. In the end, we concluded the secret to our success was doing one thing really well; that we'd lose our focus if we tried to do other brands, and that we would never be able to do BMW as well as we were doing VW, which would mean people would be disappointed in the product.

Right to left sorted by HP: Troy Bilt Bronco, 18.5HP, in theory I could ride to work on that :) Xenon headlights which is just about the only acceptable use for those aftermarket xenon kits.
2006 Kawasaki ZZR 600, about 100HP. Been on the west coast and back! Gets the best mileage of the three. Haven't found a suitable fuel-injected replacement, which is all I wish it had.
2009 Jetta TDI 140 6MT, chipped to 185HP. Maxes out the boost sensor at 2.6 bar absolute.

Yep, they also made the Rialta, but the Eurovan version is easy to parallel park if you ever want to go into town. ;-). It has "everything you need, but nothing you don't."

I agree, ones in great shape are difficult to find and are expensive. I just hope they hold their value if I ever do decide to sell it.

Update:
I sold the bandit last weekend. Sad to see it go, but I had a ton of fun miles on it and it went to a new owner. The bike owed me nothing and I ended up selling it for $200 more than I paid for it.

In it's place, my first Porsche
