We call it a Chimney... but we also have sewer system vents referred to as the "Stack". A stack is most often a pipe - it is not surrounded by stone and motar - although I suppose it could be to make it look better.

Sometimes in the UK the "Stack" is called a "Stink Pipe" :cool:
