Silly question, but you are making sure your phone is discoverable when searching for it?
Did you try to search for the car from your own phone without hitting search on the car?
This can definitely connect, I only wish you were local to me and I could probably sort it out.

FYI..... don't be looking for a media device, or trying to connect via a media device.

Yeah my phone is discoverable, it becomes that once the Bluetooth page is opened on the phone.

I believe I cleared all of the profiles using the voice recognition function rather than using a scan tool/VCDS but that lease turn-in was years ago. I should have that 9W7 module in my garage and I can dig it up if needed.

I don't think I'll have access to ODIS to make comparisons anytime soon but I can use VCDS over the weekend to see if those errors can be reproduced. In the meanwhile you may want to see if the voice recognition menus allow you to clear all profiles.

Ahh, you have PR code 9ZB UHV High and that might not support voice recognition - but to be honest I don't remember. If your MFSW has the phone/microphone looking button we might want to try coding address 16 from 1182250000 -to- 118A250000 to see if that enables a voice prompt lady when you press it.

Edit, address 77 has voice options as well so if you try my 16 tweak I'd change 77 from 0A01000000010101 -to- 0A00000000010101 at the same time just to see what, if anything, happens. If it doesn't work you can always change it back.

I did the new coding for 77 and it was accepted. I found that after this was done the mike button muted the stereo.
When I then re coded 16 nothing happened unfortunately, even stopped muting the stereo.

Then you have no voice recognition, I thought it was only available on a 9w7 controller. You could always buy a 9w7 which would solve the issue plus give you the benefit of having Bluetooth audio streaming and voice recognition!

I agree with dubTECH. Your BT module must not support voice recognition but it was worth a shot.

I tested my factory 7P6 035 730 F installed module with a HUC in addition to a HN using (our latest tester) Beta. My Release 15.7.4 testing had the identical results but that was limited to the HN only due to the FW in the interface I had handy:

Both of our Android phone profiles were deleted. I have an old HTC M7 and my husband has a semi-modern M9. I confirmed phone/phonebook and media devices were missing on the dash and I had to re-pair them with the BT PIN (0000) from scratch. I can locate and plug in that older 7P6 035 730 C unit but it was a 9W7 as well so I suspect my results would be identical.

I almost wonder if the module in your car doesn't support that channel for some reason. If you want to try the latest Beta you'd need DS253 (downloaded and then extracted replacing all files in the UDS_EV Beta folder) from post 7 and the EXE from post 10.

Hi sorry I've been out of the country for a few days.
Weve done the upgrade to the Beta version as suggested and unfortunately I'm still getting the same response when I go into 77 and try to erase the user profile i.e. No response from subnet controller as in my post No 18. Appreciate the interest.

I've just disconnected the phone module and cleared the codes from the radio and can gateway.
I also removed the phone from the installation list in the can gateway, did a full scan and no faults found in the can or radio.
Could this mean that the phone module is the fault?

Just before I slip onto the next page, would a 7P6 035 730 N be suitable for my Passat?
There is a second hand one available that I can buy for £120 that may be worth a shot rather than spending upwards of £500 at VW

Sorry for the delay. If you can't sync several phones to that 77 module and it won't clear the previous phones I suspect it is faulty. I would consider the upgrade to a 9W7 (dubTECH's suggestion) if you replace it. The cost of a used module may be identical either way and 7P6 035 730 N should be a 9W7 unit as far as I can tell.
