Setting the bt audio shouldn't make any difference, as it's only media streaming. Have you a MFSW? which can let you into the phone options via the indicator screen in the dash?

I have anso had an unable to perform task during active session or something similar.
Can you elaborate (ideally with a screenshot) what the exact error message is which you're getting? You are trying this with VCDS 15.7.4? Have you tried the latest Beta yet?

Multi Function Steering Wheel (a steering wheel with various buttons / controls) vs. a plain one.

PS: Just added it to our acronym decoder.

First phone page says Andys I phone connecting. (Previous owner)
Below that is the option to cancel
Clicking cancel brings me onto 'No paired phone found. Same screen then I have the option to connect or phone search or media player.
Connect tries to connect with andys phone, Phone search says looking for mobile phones and media player gives me a choice of Active device (no active device), Paired devices (There are 3) and the final choice is Search (which searchers for players but again doesn't find any). And that is it.
