Reset Inspection Due Warning 2016 Audi A3

I recently did my 15k oil change and inspection. I reset the Oil change warning/reminder manually, but can not reset the "inspection due" warning / reminder. This warning is different the change oil reminder and as far as I can tell can not be reset other than going to the dealer...

Is there a procedure to reset this warning / reminder with your "cable" / software?
Which system would I need to get this done?

It sounds like VW/Audi are holding our cars hostage to "their" service departments.

Generally, what is gained by going with a Hex-Net system over a Micro-Can system?

The Micro-CAN is USB only and only works with a limited range of cars. See here.

The HEX-NET can be used with VCDS via USB, or WiFi, includes VCDS-Mobile as well, and is a universal interface that works with all models of VW/Audi Group cars.
