VW Golf 7 Instrument cluster retrofit to Premium 1 fault

Hello All,

I hope someone can help me.

I have installed a new speedometer from normal to Premium version.

through online coding the component protection off and programmed the cluster.

But i have 1 error on the instrument cluster.
Maybe this has to do with coding / adaptations settings

That value you marked on BLUE - Display Acceleration in new cluster
what ever it is ..... what ever it do

you should use latest VCDS before you want to post autoscan regarding some issue / coding

Hello DV52,

Yesterday 23.15 PM i have recode the instrument cluster with the German vcds software because the have opportunity to change the feul tank variant from 1 to 8 olso the model variant from 1 to 9 +A, B, C, D,E,F.

So i have recode the FEUL Tank to variant 7, everthing works infotainment driver information Tank everthing on the infotainment .

Today from 13.00 hour untill 16.00 hour a have read many times no error.
But today 22.30 hour the fehler has become.

So i have recode the FEUL tank variant to 8 lets see what this brings.

Its verry difficult to see if ther no label on the description Feul tank Variant, GAS, LPG, Diesel, 8 options but ther are not so many feul options on the market.

I will look tommorrow after my night shift when the error comes i try you sugestion.

I have resolved the error on the instrument cluster.

1 Fault Found:
13639427 - Databus
U1123 00 [008] - Received Error Message
Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

After 10 days every time triying to change byte and bits on the instrument cluster, Reading many forums even a messag posting on the german Ross Tech didnt help.

So two days ago i have try the latest option of Feul Tank from 7 to 8 and now the error wont came back.

The Englisch vcds shows three options of feul tank en the German vcds shows 8 options.
I dont now what the feul tank option 8 means now i dont care about that.
The devolleper of Ross Tech will sone detail the meaning of this.

I am olso verry dissepointent of the german vcds forum.
Why because the have put on the german vcds the option of 8 feul tanks, so the experts ther must now somthing why from 3 to 8, so i now now why!
I post ther first te message but now one answer the post.

Only thing what i have read is post a car screen and when you do that its verry quit.

I am sorry to say i will thank all persons on US Ross Tech forum that the take time to answer.

I have buy the cable from German PCI and when you want support you dont here somone.

Hello All and DV52

After 4 days and 16.22 hours the error comes again!

So this has to do with the setting of the feul tank!!!

When I use the old settings like feul Tank variant between 1 to 6 the error comes between 15 and 20 hours.

So this is the old code sustained 4 days and 16.22 hours.

I have olso try to dissable the adaptations bellow but this is not possible because reach error on vcds

Olso the changing of the modell variant from 1 to 3 didnt help.

I have change the valeu from

After changing the Feul Tank variant from 3 to 2 and disconnecting the battery 15 min again the error comes after 4 days back.
today the error comes back.

^^^^ Bummer about the DTC re-appearing! I have quite a few admaps for the 5G0 920 series control modules, but not 871- alas. Just to be clear, is the SA 20103 accepted by the control module? (some newer models don't like this SA).

Vcds 15.7.4 PCI / DVI German version offers new opportunities for coding on the instrument cluster.

Brake warning via warning light for brake system

Is this not standard on each VW Golf 7.

Could it be this what was forgotten to activate on the new cluster maybe this could explain the error. ???

Why the english version stays at 16-02-2016 a dont understand.
