We have something in the works that MAY solve this problem. PM me if you're interested in testing it.

Are you using the latest beta, 15.6.1 as of this moment?

    Same Problem and a Solution.

My vehicle is a VW Crafter 50 van, 2011 2E build. Service Reminder was on.
I have searched the net for weeks trying to come across a solution to this as my local dealer also will not reset the service without great a good deal of money exchanging hands. The issue some people don't understand is that the dashboard method for resetting will simply not work on many vehicles, I won't go into the reason for this.
I am still using VCDS Release 17.8.0 and initially found a major issue with Windows 10 Pro wiping out my drivers (fixed now)

I won't post my Map as it is identical to the previous Map posted.

    Here is how it has worked for me;

    1) Clear any DTC's
    2) Click on LR135057-WIV Reset (VW) Write (This is your SERVICE RESET)
    3) Enter "0" as "new value" (stored value is also "0")
    4) Workshop code entered in this screen only is 12345 / 123 / 12345
    5) Hit "Do It!"
    6) Without leaving the previous screen, switch IGNITION to off then back to on position. (At this stage the service reminder is gone!)
    7) Close down and exit VCDS
    8) Pull up a chair with a cold drink in hand and celebrate!

It is now 4 days since I have completed the reset procedure, some people have reported a return of the service reminder after resetting but I have had no problem with this.

Good luck, I hope this works for everyone else with this problem.

    Hi all,

I have a question on a 2017 LT3. The controller map, part numbers etc are identical to those posted above by Yupster.

We have tried writing '0' to 'LR303066-WIV Reset (VW) Write' - which already had a stored value of '0' but this has not reset the values on the dashboard.

The dashboard is saying it is an Inspection due. Please can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Hi Grant,

I took a look at that map and it looks like the service was reset properly. I realize that doesn't explain why the Inspection light is still on but I added additional SRI related text to the last column of the map:

I cannot add clarity to the channels with names like Diff SUM but someone else may. I believe:

    • WIV Reset (VW) Write - Konstante = ESI: Resetting ESI / normal oil change status. 0 should be reset
    • Days Since Last Service and zero is good (reset).
    • Km Since Last Service and zero is good (reset).

I'll check the German file to see if it adds any clarity to some of those channels but I honestly don't see why the service still shows INSP needed.

You may want to see if the channels report the same with our Beta (make sure the customer know how to switch his HN to the Beta channel) in addition to using the Soft Reset tickbox per the pic half way down on this page.
