Hello. I am an Audi enthusiast, and enjoy fixing my two Audi vehicles myself. I am in a need to replace defective module (Steering column lock/immobilizer), that will require immo matching.

Would VW/Audi provide access to GEKO system for personal use upon successful verification?

No, that's not included in an erWin subscription. GeKo requires registration as a Vehicle Security Professional with the NASTF first. Only then can apply for GeKo access, and there are additional requirements, such as an ODIS subscription. The level of cost and hassle involved in all that makes it very much not worthwhile for an individual or even for shop for a single repair.

These days, there are people who can fix the steering column lock modules. What model Audi is at issue?

It's 2015 Audi A6 3.0L TDI (C7). It has a detachable, replaceable module.

Not sure about that generation of A6. Repair of those modules in the previous C6/4F chassis is well understood now. But we're straying way off topic in this thread now. Please start a new thread in the Car Repair section and post an Auto-Scan for context.

Yes, these are "subscription" sites, but they have the real-deal, the official up-to-date stuff. Make sure your computer is set up to print stuff to PDF files, get a one-day subscription, and print everything relevant to your car.

Hi Uwe,

I have just paid for 1hr access and tried 2 VIN's but had the following messages:

Do you know if anyone had success getting a refund?

Hi
Links from the first post are no longer valid. You can update them.
The correct addresses are below

Rest-of-World Models:
VW
Audi
Seat

I followed the VW link and proceeded to sign up but as you see below, it doesn't look like ROW.

No it does not. Are you sure you're at erwin.volkswagen.de rather than erwin.vw.com ?

Ok so in summary so far:

1. Signed up using the ROW VW link from your first post

2. Found the error as per my below screenshots.

3. Clicked on the ROW VW link that kaleon provided as an update to your original links. Attempted to sign up but only US options available.
