I am looking for an electrical diagram which explain all the pin´s in and pin´s out, the back of the head unit

Wader: I think that I can get you some of the way. I developed the following picture for a colleague in another forum that was interested in the "Audio" part of the control module 5F

But if you want the entire suite of connections then a short stay at the Erwin site might be beneficial. Not sure if you are aware about this resource, but it's a pay-for-service website (based on time spent at the site). It's a very modest fee (1 hour incl. printing rights - for 7,00 €). The web link below is the portal which should be OK for your RoW vehicle, Navigate to the VW page, register, pay the fee and make sure that you download all the stuff that you can (don't linger on the site, viewing pages in the on-line documents)!

For the specific data that you requested, VW keep this information in "basic equipment" document (I have no idea why they call it this). At least for the mk7, the "basic equipment" contains all the WD drawings, the fuse layout drawings, the control module drawings, the coupling point drawings, the relay wiring drawings, and the earth-point drawings. So it's a pretty useful resource to have on your laptop/PC. But if choose the 1 hr service, you will have plenty of time to download lots of other repair material

Thank you so much fore the i will have a look at Erwin. Today i´d went to my local vw dealer, so he colu help me to get around all the Component Protection on my new retrofitted Discover pro system.
And he couldn`t, the tester wouldn´t allow him to do it, because it´s keep saying the software is incompatible.
Would live to hear your opinion, of what i should try to do.

wader: I provide the following obvious (but hopefully, non-trivial) observation which has been inspired by golfi-vend's response: If I look at your picture of the label on the new Discover Pro Gen2, I see the words "3GO 035 020". But, when I look at the auto-scan, I note that VCDS reports HW: 3G0 035 021! What's the history of the new unit?

DV52: I've also noticed it with the label, and wondered why.
DV52: What's the history of the new unit? The story of the device I do not know. but I know that I paid 1000 eure and the original Discover media in exchange.
I have also noticed thoes labels that where put over of some of the screws that stands APG on. but I can not find anything online about the company.

I feel your pain. I just received a Discover Pro MIB2 system from APG for retrofit into my NAR 2016 Golf R. Yes, it works. Unfortunately, I have a ton of faults that I cannot clear, including ones like yours. It seems like they do quite a bit of hacking to get around various things, including inside the unit. My part number is for a European unit out of a B8 Passat and includes the SIM card slot for LTE connectivity. However, it's running US firmware with satellite radio and other functionality that we have here that doesn't exist in Europe. It looks like they took two separate units and combined them into one. I confirmed the origin by using the diagnostics menu and looking at the FEC/SWaP codes, which are all now "invalid" due to VIN mismatch.

I haven't even approached my dealer yet to see if they can help me at least bypass component protection. I'm about to open a dispute with PayPal and my credit card company, as they promised me a 100% retrofit.

For reference, here are the faults. Ross-Tech, is there any word on when a label file for these will be available?

I assume that, other than the DTCs, the infotainment unit is operating successfully - notwithstanding the presence of 2 x component protection errors? Yes, it is operating properly.

The good: Navigation, Phone, Radio (including Satellite), and Media functions all work. The internal Jukebox is nifty as is WiFi streaming from a uPNP device. I can pop in a SIM card and have the unit attempt to use it, but I'm not sure the LTE radio inside is fully compatible with US LTE frequencies. I'm lacking an antenna connection to the rear of the unit. There are 2 purple connectors, I'm assuming one is "in" from the Premium Telephony base plate and one is "out" to the sharkfin. My US car has the Telematics module (which operates over LTE), so I know the roof sharkfin *has* the antenna, but unsure how to split it or what the proper configuration would be.

The bad: The faults. And also the software error messages. Clearly this was a European unit that was forced to run US firmware. I know my dealer can remove component protection, but will the software be upgradeable? I'm also unable to use my overhead "Car-Net" buttons.

They've suggested we try another tool and we will, as the lack of a label file in VCDS makes coding this difficult.

@Ross-Tech: has anybody submitted an Auto-Scan for a 2016 e-Golf SEL Premium? That car in the US now has the 8" Discover Pro. It would be interesting to compare how 5F and 75 are coded on this vehicle.

^^^^ wdimqgineer: I'm not sure that there is anything special about the aerial set-up for the Discover Pro on an e-Golf, but here is the topology diagram for the e-Golf and the rear connection descriptors on a Discover Pro showing the aerial plugs for the rear window antenna loop

Helpful, if odd. My unit has 2 connectors for the second infographic you referenced. I see units for sale on eBay that have one connector. I have not come across a unit yet with 2.

I'm starting to think this unit may not be worth the trouble.

Quickish update... I'm sending this unit back and grabbing a proper, virgin US unit. The LTE functionality, while nice, renders Bluetooth inoperable. It's either in-car data or Bluetooth (rSAP, if you also want)... not both. I'd need a new sharkfin for 100% operability, something I'm not wanting to do.

My current conundrum is satellite radio. I have 3 different admaps with 3 different values for the "Tuner for satellite radio; preparation" adaptation. My Discover Pro is 05, my friend dmc's Golf R Discover Pro in Canada is 02, and an e-Golf with Discover Pro I scanned earlier is 08.

What is this value? I ask because my unit keeps displaying "Acquiring Signal" on every 3rd or 4th start. I hear audio, see text briefly, and then the info text goes blank. Audio continues playing.

I have admaps for 3 x MIBII units in my database that have the "Tuner for satellite radio; preparation" channel populated. The settings are 2 for Canada and 7 for USA. I have no idea what this code means!

I'm planning on retro fitting it but no idea where the 2 wires are supposed to go on my MIBII unit.

Scott: This is what I believe happens with the Video signal cable from the RVC to the MIB unit - the centre wire and sheath are terminated on the "Quadlock" connectors as shown below

Other than these 2 wires, there are the positive/negative power wires and a trigger wire that connects to the backing light, which turns-on the RVC whenever reverse-gear is selected

I know its been a while since your post above, but I am having a similar problem with satellite radio on my MIB II retrofit.

Have you resolved the "Acquiring signal" issue? Can you possibly send me VCDS scan from your system?

Hello there , today we have strong rain here in Greece with low temperatures 16 C from 44 C , seven days ago .

When I select reverse gear I hear a long beep and pdc went off.
