Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, so this is my first post.
I own a 2000 VW Passat 1.9 TDI 3B2. Simple enough, AVG engine code and 4-gear automatic gearbox with no triptronic (gearbox code EPV).
The thing is that I'm having some troubles with the gearbox. If I run the car from full stop, it will jolt while shifting from the 1st gear from the 2nd if I go above 2000 rpms. The other gears show no problems while shifting. Also while going at high speeds on the 4th gear, it revs up and downshifts for like a second before shifting back to 4th again.
Scanned the car and got this:
[Snip. Data from hacked/pirated copies of our software is not welcome here]
While scanning the ABS module theres a big "STOP, Check the owner's manual" sign.
After a little research I learnt that the torque converter code may be failing (so it can't keep 4th gear at high speeds).
I was wondering if the ABS module may be failing, so it makes the car jolt while shifting from 1st to 2nd. Do you think guys this may be a real torque converter issue or by repairing the ABS module I'll get rid of if?
Regards
