Hi. Below is the autoscan. I've done the basic settings a few times today. Even though the steering is now within the 1.5 degree tolerance, group 060 still doesn't activate when I press 'on/off' for the basic setting (just says error in red). However, as soon as I type Group 060, it shows adjustment status as OK and the steering limit stop needs to be done. So I guess the basic setting is working?

I've recoded the ABS and the CAN gateway, but it's made no difference

Really sorry but I don't know how to shorten the autoscan.

It may actually need a G85....... or have a sporadic wiring issue, and must be verified using WD/ DVOM meter as per the repair manual.

I've already replaced the G85 with a new one. The VW specialist who did it initially suspected the steering control module and the link below describes my exact problem in an almost identical car. On page 2, the original poster notes that it was rectified with a new steering control module.

Are there any output tests I can do on the steering wheel module?

I don't have access to Erwin. I'm not a business, just an enthusiast with a problem on my car.

What are you talking about pay to play?! Fair enough saying I should check the wiring, but it's already been checked when the angle sensor was changed. The wiring to the steering control module and G85 are fine (in terms of no breakages, don't know if he used a multimeter on them).

If you don't know what the fault is then that's fine. I'm only looking for some guidance with it.

I don't take for granted the help on offer in the forum and I really appreciate it. But it's not realistic to ask an individual to buy an Erwin subscription

I have had my fill of the UK's arrogance today. NUT or BUT?

    Oh I know.......trust me I know....

    "memo bis punitor delicatum"

HTF do you know if wiring is good, if you don't have a repair manual.......?

Ever consider maybe the new sensor was damaged when installed, installed wrong or bad out of the box?

Is a 3 day Erwin sub gonna break the bank in Yiddish British Jewie Gooey Pounds?
