No "Meas. Block-08" when using vcds hex-net over USB

All,
I'm trying to send in some logs to Malone to get a baseline before I apply some of the tunes I purchased. In the process I need to log a group of blocks in 3rd gear. However, "Meas. Blocks-08" is grayed out. I'm connecting to my VCDS HEX-NET using the USB cable.

VW implemented reading live data in 3 different ways... It started out with Single Reading which was only supported by control modules using KWP-1281 early on. Following by the Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) in later iterations of KWP-1281 and KWP-2000. In 2008/2009 another switch to a newer communication protocol started, ASAM/UDS simply doesn't support the classic Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) anymore and all data has to be gathered using Advanced Measuring Values (AMV). We also back-ported an AMV-like display to older modules which is why you may have seen that option before.

So in short...

KWP-1218 = Single Reading and/or MVB (and possibly AMV)
KWP-2000 = MVB (and possibly AMV)
ASAM/UDS = AMV only

...now looking at your case, you can identify your ECM being a ASAM/UDS module by looking at the Control Module Identification. All modules that have a "ASAM Dataset" description in the Auto-Scan, use the ASAM/UDS protocol to communicate. I hope this helps clearing things up a little.

So can you translate how to log the following blocks into a group log using a new method so that i can send them to Malone?
VAG TDI 2009+ Log these blocks in 3rd gear:

Use the AVB option and tick the needed blocks. Logging works the same way.

Here is the link and you can open the file from the website. http://malonetuning.com/custom-tuning/vag-com-vcds-logging-guide Ill check and see if the blocks #s from the non-uds match up with the uds blocks. my guess is that they wont.
