How to activate my key thru MMI?

I am trying to activate my key as driver 1 so when i unlock the car my settings would return. ( seats mirrors etc). I have the option in the MMI but i cannot do it. Also number two is how do i know exactly my MMI. 2g high low etc. 2009 premium plus nav ipod sat radio cold weather. If that helps. Thanks
