First, have a good target.
You must have your car's model software on your A5 camera (for values calcul).
Enter good values for wheel edge housing on Adaptations with security access.
Control camera height calculated by controller with real value.
Adjust values if needed to obtain the good camera height.
Then:
Basic settings -> search target (to recognize it) -> initial online calibration (to calculate camera's angles, which will change as you drive and the car moves) -> static calibration... finished
It took about two minutes... after a couple of days scratching head.

Then you drive on straight's roads and dynamic calibration will be done correctly. Straighter the road is, quicker the calibration will be.

No need to run EAL calibration, it's done for blank cameras.

Hope it will help some people who go crazy with it. To repeat what Downtime said, it's really not a rocket science!

Not specific to the A5 Front Camera but I built my own Rear View Camera board as I do a lot of RVC retrofits and while other software can "inject" calibration sets into the 6C camera, I prefer a real board so I built this with adjustable feet, circular spirit levels and bars for the Laser Measure device etc (which I own already).

I built this directly from duplicating the genuine VAS kit.

I'm currently building the same for A5 Camera calibration board.

Thanks

Andy

It's really near the original board. Just one thing I add is that the board should be non reflective. I printed it on a TIVEK sheet. It's important to avoid any parasitic lights.
But it's really a good job, thanks for sharing your board.
Could you add measures to duplicate it?:thanks:

Yes, it is a little reflective but does work ok. I could always put a sheet of non-reflective clear film over the top to remove that if needed

Dimensions are very exact for the printed sheet.

74.80 Inches x 27.56 Inches
