I think this would be a great sticky for all.......... to have a better understanding of CAN.

Jack: Absolutely no doubt about it- Definitely the best post I've seen on this forum - thanks for the link to such informative videos (way too good for just a "Like this post" tick)

Well I think so.........
I have been seeing a rash of CAN BUS questions.
It's beyond needed for the guys that don't have a clue and even the ones that do keep a grasp on basics.

Even I benefit all the time form re-reading old SSP's or watching stuff like this.
It makes you think and that breeds new techniques/repair strategy.

I have been recording and playing stuff back, to see what is needed to make.......... say a lock be emulated with success!

I think the Tektronix stuff is a ton of fun to watch too........https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAzy_-kKC2PJHLc1CekiwTg

Jack: You don't have one of those scopes that you want to sell (perhaps " donate" is a more suitable verb)? They look very nice indeed, but there are way too many zeros in the price and the decimal point is too far to the right! I'm willing to take a second-hand unit off your hands for about $100 AUD - perhaps even $150 AUD if you throw-in a set of leads (and no questions asked and I'm willing to pay for delivery)!!
Don
PS: hmmm......... just remembered - You guys do use 240Volt 50hz as a mains supply - don't you?
