All systems and weather are currently go ahead of tonight’s Falcon Heavy launch; launch window opens at 6:35 p.m. EDT

    Live stream should be here:

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    All three boosters landed!

From about 75 miles north, Oly OM-D EM-5, with 40-150 (300mm eqiv). These are 1:1 crops:

Word is the center core tipped over in rough seas but they've still got hold of it, either floating or laying flat on the barge, unclear right now. But hey, the system works.

Looking forward to find out why the octograbber didn't have it locked down. I've seen an allegation that it can't grab onto a FH center core, and I could believe the fittings underneath would be different...

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. What's wrong with just boarding the barge and welding that sucker down as soon as the deck is cool enough to work on? Maybe not directly, but with some kind of clamps?

Very nice view of the booster landing from last night's CRS-17 mission on the drone ship starting at about 22:30 here:

I like this pic of the third Falcon Heavy on the pad yesterday:

SpaceX apparently wants everyone to know that those side boosters are "flight proven". Wash them? Give them a fresh coat of paint? Nope. Just fly 'em again!

Sadly, they failed to recover the brand-new looking center booster.
