^^^^ m_bolc: Got your PM - apology, I missed your request above. I'm sure that you know already, but just in case you have forgotten (binary numbers are not intuitive IMO), Bit 0 is at the RHS of the binary string and Bit 7 is at the extreme LHS.

PS: If you want to create these tables yourself, just down load my handy-dandy Code-string to Byte-list converter HERE. All that you need to run the macro is MS Excel (with the "Developer" tab showing)

Great stuff Don, that really is handy dandy.

With that I was able to use the changes as suggested above, I didn't get errors (again) but the function is still not working. Is there a chance that missing adaptation channel will appear on the 16.3 VCDS release? That's the last piece of the puzzle I'm afraid.

m_bolc, are you getting the lamp error? I imagine we should be getting that error if this is setup correctly, and then changing the lamp monitoring adaptation channel might fix that, short of installing the lamp. If you really want to see if it works without waiting on VCDS - bridge the two pins in the schematic.

There is a related Adaptation channel which is not being picked up by the current release or beta of VCDS:

- AUTO HOLD functional status - Personalised settings

Possible Vales:

- Never active
- Last setting
- Always active

Edit: Thought to back this up by saying that the "missing" channel can be seen / referenced via other tools.

Uwe - pleeaaasseeeee get us this fix.

Let me see if I understand this correctly: Is this the ABS you're claiming there's a missing adaptation channel in?

This one as well sir:

Code:
Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104) Labels: 5Q0-907-379-IPB-V1.clb
   Part No SW: 3Q0 907 379 AA HW: 3Q0 907 379 F
   Component: ESC H42 0623
   Revision: 00000000 Serial number: 63625000001935
   Coding: 13F16AA22420126C0179060841CB25C8562448806082A4B2002100348208
   Shop #: WSC 06385 790 00016
   ASAM Dataset: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100IPB 034036
   ROD: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100IPB_AU37.rod
   VCID: 79F9C3CFF8AD96F4E8-802C

No fault code found.

The coding suggestions have been accepted, but I believe one more adaptation channel is required to turn on the auto hold feature.

m_bolc: I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but here are examples of admaps for the ABS from my database - I've put details from your car at the end from information that you previously posted

nloTK3T.png

I think that your illusive adaptation channel is ID#3. I've purposely chosen these admaps to demonstrate that VCDS faithfully reports the adaptation channel on those modules that have this channel. The construct of the table (hopefully) shows that not all modules have all channels. Alas my suspicion is that the absence of ID#3 is in the control module firmware in your car - rather than a deficiency in the RT cable (IMO)

*crickets*

Ok, sooo assuming this is not a VCDS issue, and we have no way to 'force' auto hold on, then one would need the button to see if this coding is working (which I think it is based on the lamp error).
Does anyone know where these pins are? I assume they're under the hood near the ABS module. Easy to get to without destroying anything? I might be willing to test this...

Next time I'll just order the darn car with the options I want, even if it does take 3-4 months to get here!

Hi all

I'm trying to find the security code to change this adaptation channel?
Its a long shot but I want to disable this channel, and disable the "button monitoring" channels and attempt the recoding again

I have tried all of these with no luck
