Hi everyone,

I've been using VCDS extensively since years on my several audi (8L tdi, 8P tdi, 8P V6, allroad 4B tdi) and now with my Porsche Cayenne V6 (yes it's work as a Cayenne is a Touareg @ 90%).

Congrat to the dev/engineering team you made an outstanding tool!!!

Post up an Auto-Scan from your Cayenne please. Just because we don't officially support it doesn't mean we don't wanna see it. :D

From another thread:
By the way autoscan does not work because even if VCDS can connect to the CAN gateway of my Cayenne, he is unable to retrieve the list of the modules :(
Open the AutoScan.txt file. There are some entries near the bottom of the file for Porsche Cayenne that are commented out. Remove the semi-colon from the start of whichever entry is appropriate by VIN and then use that entry.

Dear Uwe,

Here is my autoscan. In fact this is a merger of 2 autoscan, let me explain:

1/ I made the 1st autoscan with a modifed OBD2 adaptor that connect the K-line to be porsche compliant (K-line on pin 3 instead of 7). But this prevents to access to engine and autotrans.
2/ I made the second autoscan without the adaptor and I copy paste the resuylt for engine and autotrans.

Here is the result (I replaced the last part of my vin with XXXXX but VCDS succeeds in retrieving the good number :) )

Code:

Cool. I see it's an earlier Cayenne, "Pre UDS". :o

You could try routing pin 15 (the second K-Line on your interface) to pin 3 of the Cayenne's DLC. That way you should be able to get everything in one fell swoop.

Thanks for the wiring tip.

My cayenne is a MY2008 (957)

What do you mean by "pre-UDS"?

UDS is a data-driven diagnostic protocol used in newer cars.

An old thread but still usefull - thanks!

For my 2005 V6 cayenne I bought a short ODBII extension cable from amazon and crossed the 15 and 3 lines (removed outer jacket from centre cores rougly in the centre of the extender cable and used a pin and multimeter to identify cores I needed). Once I found 3 and 15 i cut them and soldered them crossed, I had access to all modules (I think - certainly more than before modification) and was able to reset service indication (instrument cluster, adaption channel 2). My rosstech lead is from about 2008 back when I owned an Audi A6.
