MKV Jetta TDI LED Tail Coding

Hi all,

I could use some coding expertise. I've installed and wired the Chinese-made Hella LED tail lights with rear fog. Now I'm trying to achieve two things: turn off cold diagnostics for the now-defunct left reverse light and (more significantly) stop the outer rings of the tails from illuminating amber when I use the brakes. The outer rings do blink amber when the hazards or turn signals are used, but also when the brakes are used. I'd like the amber to be for blinkers only which, as I understand, is the correct, full-on "amber club" mode of operation.

Wow, strange! Went I went back into the coding, it was as listed in the link you posted, not as listed in the VCDS log I pasted. Anyway, even with bytes 9-13 correctly set at 0A 00 00 0F 00, the amber-while-braking problem persists.

There is coding for rear fog light as well.

Yup. So is the implication that correct coding of the rear fog will correct the amber-while-braking issue?

In trying to run down the checklist of coding changes, I've noticed that the bytes & bits I'm instructed to change for rear fog activation in no way correspond to mention of a rear fog option in VCDS. For instance, I have to set BYTE 03, BITS 1 & 2 both to 1 for rear fog operation (per the instructions), but that corresponds to sunroof comfort opening/closing on my controller:

Your car is Mk5 with only BCM , address-09.
The link I post is not good for your car, it is for car with BCM and CCM.
