Mirrors no longer fold when car locked

My A5 has just had a second hand CAN gateway fitted, with an extended CAN, during which my battery was disconnected and all my VAGCOM changes were reverted back to factory settings. I've recoded all the modules and everything works, except for some of the keyfob functionality:

    1) the mirrors no longer fold when the car is locked. Strangely they close when I turn on the ignition, then fold out again.

The door controllers and central electric module long codes, before and after, are identical
    There are no module errors
Module 46 (central electric) adaptation channel 01 has "folding mirrors installed and active" set

I retrofitted the mirrors about 8 months ago and both worked perfectly prior to the new gateway being installed. They fold with the driver door switch and the MMI option under central locking is selected. If I de-select the MMI option the mirrors no longer fold in and out when when the ignition is turned on (after the car is unlocked).

Has anyone come across this before?

I'm at a loss what to try next.

    Hi,

If I am not mistaken, these features you speak of are programed by the user and the instructions I believe were located in the owners manual.
    - A similar feature/function for example.

The mirrors should fold/retract when I lock the car and did before I installed the new CAN gateway.
They now fold/retract after I unlock the car and turn on the ignition! They then fold out again.

Its not a "setting the option in MMI" problem.

The door controller is processing the instruction to retract the mirrors to late. Could power to the door mirrors now be being switched off earlier than before?

Perhaps you could provide us with an Auto-Scan of the vehicle so we can see a bit more. Thank you.

What 5000 character limit? I just checked the setting where such a limit could be imposed and it's set to 0 which means there is no maximum number of characters per post here.

It appears the 5000 character limit applies only to PM's
