Could this have something to do with the fact that the car needs bushings and an alignment? (steering wheel is off about 10 degrees)

This has a scan performed with the radio disconnected so those errors are recognized.

That's possible but the steering wheel and mechanical alignment would have to be really far out. What does MVB group 004.1 show when the wheel is straight and does that ABS module allow you to complete the G85 calibration successfully?

004,1,Steering Angle,Sensor (G85)
The Tolerance (when straight) is ±4.5 ° but 0.0° is ideal.

My calibration failed... I think the SAS is kaput.

I think I need to go down that road and replace the SAS. Well anyway it was a good day as I fixed the Haldex and got my 4wd back! Those things are tough!
had no fluid! I think it shuts itself down when it gets low or loses pressure.

If the wheel was outside of the ±4.5 ° tolerance (in some cases the limit is 1.5 ° so shooting for perfect 0.0 is best) the basic setting attempt will fail. Let us know what MVB group 004.1 shows at right lock, left lock and then when straight and immediately before attempting to complete the Basic Settings.

The sensor may be faulty but I'd hate to see you toss a part at it and have the same problem.
