I have a 2001 Audi TT 225hp AMU, that had a timing belt fail. I picked up an ATW head and put it on the TT. The only noticeable difference I could find was there is 1 bracket hole missing for the charge pipe. The ports and valve sizes seem to be the same. I did not verify lift and duration of the cams though. I put the replacement head on the TT and drive it for the first time just the other day... My thoughts: OMG this car is slow! My 1.8t AWP a/t Jetta is faster and I think my 05 tdi wagon Jetta might be faster too.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why the TT would be so slow, or does anyone think that might be normal performance levels for the AMU?

I with the help of a mechanical boost gauge I figured out what was going on here. I just had the electronic boost controller hooked up wrong. After I fixed that, it feels like the way I think the TT should run!
